The strength, depth and diversity of Scotland's manufacturing sector has been celebrated at Insider's first Made in Scotland Awards. The event, held on 25th September 2025 at the Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, recognised the leading names in sectors like food, automotive, digital, energy and transport. It was compered by Susie McCabe with the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) as the headline sponsor. The awards were also sponsored by Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing and Hot Tin Roof. Age Scotland was the charity partner. The winners will go on to Insider's Made in the UK awards next year.
Transport Manufacturer of the Year Award
Winner: MacRebur Limited
The judges praised MacRebur for transforming road construction with polymer additives that turn waste plastic into stronger, longer-lasting asphalt. They also commended its delivery of clear sustainability benefits, from cutting landfill and carbon emissions to improving road durability, and having a global vision for greener infrastructure.
